XENONnT is the first experiment to measure nuclear recoils from solar neutrinos
Today, July 10, at the #IDM2024 in L’Aquila (IT), Fei Gao, from Tsingua Universitiy, reported this result: we can say that XENONnT enters into the so-called “neutrino fog”.This is a great achievement!
Marco Selvi, researcher at INFN Bologna, presented a talk at #IDM2024 in L’Aquila on “XENONnT Neutron Veto”. The Gd-loaded water Cherenkov detector tags neutrons from materials and suppresses the most important backgrounds for WIMP search.

Keixin Liu, PhD at Tsinghua University, presented a talk at #IDM2024 in L’Aquila on Accidental Coincidence Background in XENONnT: accidental coincidence events represent the largest background to nuclear recoil searches at low energies.

We are excited to announce that Henning Schulze Eißing, @uni_muenster PhD, presented a talk at #IDM2024 in L’Aquila about the WIMP Dark Matter searches with XENONnT: competitive sensitivity to WIMP and other dark matter candidates.
We are proud! 🌟🌌
